Hi all! I haven't posted in forever! I've been so mega busy between college and family things I honestly kind of forgot about my blog! Shame on me. But if there's been one reason for me to check up on the goings-on with blogger it's definitely been MAC's upcoming collection, Quite Cute. It's set to launch on April 7th, with online sales starting most likely on the 4th. Most of the time collections are available around 3 days before in-store launch, however, if you interested keep in mind that the Wonder Woman collection was released at least a whole WEEK before in-store launch. So if you're diligent in checking their site, like me, you may be able to get your hands on things sooner :)
There has been soooo much buzz about this collection! For those of you that haven't seen this insanely circulated poster for it, feast your eyes.
This collection is PERFECT for springtime! Everything's pastel and bright. Definitely not for the meek of heart.
For sake of time, I won't copy down the list of products and their descriptions as they're everywhere. My favorite place to check for these things is Temptalia. She's always really quick to update with any swatches or opinions. I always check her site before buying because it helps me get a feel for what to expect. Love her! Here's her overview page of the collection.
Unlike the recent Wonder Woman collection, things are priced to MAC standard. Wonder Woman products came in slightly larger sizes and were, in turn, more expensive. But because this collection is licensed solely with MAC, no issues with that!
I've been skimming the internet constantly for new swatches and info. For at least a few weeks now, one of the most popular Quite Cute pic has been this set of swatches from ZonkosWorld.
There are tons of individual pics of the products on her site as well. Super useful!
Here's what I definitely am hoping to pick up from this collection:
Sakura - lavender with magenta heart mineralized blush
Giggly - soft pink with darker pink heart mineralized blush
Playing Koi - light peachy pink lipstick
Play Time - magenta-like lipstick
Girl Heart Boy - bright pink plushglass
Bubble Tea - peachy nude brown plushglass
I'm still on the fence with the shadow quad. The colors look really cute but I'm not quite sure how well those pale colors would look on my skin. This will be most likely the only product I'll wait to swatch in stores (besides Candy Yum Yum, one of the most talked about products in this line).
Since the first time I saw pics of these products, I KNEW I had to have Sakura. Not only am I obsessed with MAC mineralized blushes, but Sakura also happen to be my favorite flower (Sakura is the Japanese word for Cherry Blossoms). Aside from those two details, this blush is also really cute! It's not often that you see a pastel lavender colored blush. Which would make this a nice piece for anyone's collection.
Also, I've been in the market for a nude lipgloss. I have Viva Glam Gaga II lipstick, but I left the gloss. It was a wee bit too brown for my liking. So Bubble Tea will be a nice alternative. I also have a great appreciation for bubble tea (specifically mango flavored) and so the name is really cute! Honestly most of these names are sooo adorable. I'm also really set on Playing Koi. Everyone seems to be talking about this and Candy Yum Yum. Because I'm not much of a super bold lipstick gal, this is more of an appealing shade for me.
Definitely exciting! Nothing screams more girly and cute than this - absolutely my type :D
Thoughts?
